Climate Action Plan

In Spring of 2007 our own President Mitch Thomashow signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment. This landmark agreement between over 650 chancellors and presidents (and growing) from across the country unites the nation’s higher education in an effort to lower our CO2 emissions.

What does this mean for us at Unity College?

This semester we’re busy developing a Climate Action Plan as part of the Commitment. This will include target dates, interim targets, curriculum and education integration, actions to facilitate climate neutrality, and mechanisms for tracking progress.

Check back here for updates on our Climate Action Plan, including what we’ve done already and what we’re planning to do.
