Constructive Activists Host Compostpalooza

The Constructive Activists Club stepped up last week to lead a compost education session for first-year students.  About 40 students attended the session which included some basic compost science, discussion of composting practices at Unity College, and an audit of the cafeteria compost stream.  Club members Cody Floyd, Deirdre Birbeck, Tess Hickey Cleary, Hannah Kreitzer, and Chelsea Ardle led the activity.

The session was one of seven events in the Unity Experience Sustainability Series for first-year students.  Other sessions have included a campus energy tour, garden service project, and a climate action planning session.  The last UE Sustainability Series, Climate Science 101, will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 10th at 11am in 1b/2b.
