Hawk & Handsaw, based at Unity College, is an annual journal dedicated to creative interpretations and redefinitions of sustainability. Each issue, they invite artists, practitioners, and thinkers to contribute their own best thinking in a feature they call “What is Creative Sustainability.” They’d like to hear your answer to this very important question. Please send your definitions – a single word or phrase, a sentence or two, maybe even a short poem. H&H will include some of their favorites in the upcoming issue of the journal. They’ll need all definitions by the end of November. Please feel free to contact the journal’s editor, Kathryn Miles (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
Creative sustainability exists in the human arcs of splitting logs for firewood. Splitting our words, stacking them neatly; burning, passing on.
