Sustainability Training Institute 2010

There will be a Sustainability Training Institute hosted at Unity College on February 27-28, 2010 for students who want to help communities become more sustainable through auditing, greenhouse gas inventorying, and home weatherization programs. The institute will train students to be a part of prioritizing, planning, and implementing sustainability measures in their communities.

After completing the institute, students should be able to:

  • address concerns about climate change and energy security
  • launch greenhouse gas inventories and weatherization programs
  • identify potential opportunities for solar, wind, biomass, and geothermal technology

This program is sponsored by the Maine Campus Compact, which includes the following colleges/universities that are involved in the program: Unity College, Colby College, Bowdoin College, Bates College, and UMaine Farmington.
