Focus the Nation This Saturday

This message from Rouwenna Lamm at the Alliance for Climate Education.

Concerned about jobs, energy, and the warming climate? Join the discussion!

On the heels of Copenhagen and in response to rising national concern about American jobs and the lack of comprehensive climate and clean energy leadership in Washington, Focus the Nation will focus its civic engagement resources and youth organizing model in a series of Clean Energy Forums with the theme “Jobs & the Clean Energy Race.”  Events will be held in ten states: AR, IN, ME, MI, WI, SD, ND, IL, OH, MN, on either April 3 or April 10.  (For more information, and specific event details, please visit

These town hall style events are youth-designed and youth-driven, delivered in a highly engaged multi-sector, intergenerational format.  Each event is typically about 2 hours long and consists of two sessions: an Education session and a multi-sector panel discussion.  All events are free and open to the public!  Join us in this important conversation in Maine!

  1. I admire the work that you have done to put on this event! It is time that we start making connections between clean energy legislation and jobs in these trying times. Good luck today!
