Tim (“Timmy Scuffle”) Libby joins us as the part-time Garden Manager. In this role he ensures adequate planning, maintenance, and supervision to meet food production goals in concert with Dining Services. Tim comes to us with a wealth of vegetable growing experience and will spend much of his other “part-time” managing Veggies for All, now based at Unity College.
Unity College student Jackie Roux joins the team as the full-time Sustainable Food Production Assistant — the real backbone (and back-muscle) of the operation. Jackie will work alongside Tim and independently to handle all daily field needs: planting, weeding, harvesting, processing, and more. In addition to a diverse work history (oyster farmer? scrap metal hauler? CIA operative?), Jackie worked recently with our neighbor at South Paw Farm.
