A Growing Partnership

A small Unity contingent visited the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens a couple of weeks ago.  If you’re anywhere near Boothbay, you should swing over to the Gardens — it’s incredible.  We got the royal treatment from their director, Maureen Heffernan and Board member Ina Heafitz, who took great pride in personally giving us a walking tour.  The folks at the Gardens have designed a new education center that they intend to be a LEED Platinum, net-zero energy building.  Previously, Ms. Heffernan visited campus to get a look at our Unity House, the president’s LEED Platinum, net-zero home.  Our return visit explored a variety of partnerships related to buildings, programs, and outreach.
