Climate Refugees Screening

The Maine Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) will show the new film Climate Refugees on Tuesday, January 25th at 7pm at the Unity College Centre for the Performing Arts. This must-see 95 minute environmental film premiered at Sundance and the Copenhagen Climate Summit.

Through compelling testimonials and strong images this film captures the human fallout of climate change. Filmmaker Michael Nash, who traveled worldwide filming hot spots affected by rising sea levels, masterfully puts a face on our planet’s most imminent environmental concern to influence new policies and teamwork that lead to solutions.

The USGBC Emerging Professionals National Committee has partnered with Climate Refugees producers to present this advance screening opportunity.

You can learn more about the film and about the Maine Chapter of the US Green Build Council at www.maineusgbc.org.

The screening will follow the 6pm Lapping Lecture Series presentation by Unity students on last fall’s Solar Road Trip.
