As you may already know, Power Shift is coming up: April 14-18. Power Shift is the largest youth movement with many people meeting in DC who care about energy, climate change, and other environmental problems. It consists of workshops, lectures, and a lobby day. I know that I am very excited to go and be a part of this movement. I want the opportunity to learn more about these issues and how to make a difference in the world. Other students that are going feel the same way I do. Abie Sullivan said that Power Shift is a “good opportunity to network with other students who believe in the same thing.” Daniel Saulnier had more to say on the subject. He said, “I want to experience the culture and the activism of the environmental movement. Attending Power Shift would, undoubtedly, be one of the most memorable and exciting moments of my life!” Next week, 15 Unity students will head down to Washington DC with other students from Maine for this great opportunity.
