Sustainability Crew Visits UMF

Tomorrow on November 10, 2011 Sara Trunzo, Martin Maines, and a few members of the Sustainability Crew will visit University of Maine Farmington.

We will be speaking with Erin Fletcher of ARAMARK dining services at UMF. ARAMARK is

“A leader in professional services, providing award-winning food services, facilities management, and uniform and career apparel to health care institutions, universities and school districts, stadiums and arenas, and businesses around the world.”

The crew will also be speaking with Ron Slater of Sandy River Recycling.

The Sustainable Campus Coalition at UMF teamed up with the head of dining services, which resulted in their food waste being composted by Sandy River Recycling.

There is much to explore and learn about waste management and composting, and we’re eager to hear what the folks at UMF have to offer.
