AASHE‘s comprehensive Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, & Rating System (STARS) is the standard for gauging institutional sustainability efforts. Developed by the higher education sustainability community to broadly applicable, authentic, and transparent, STARS assesses sustainability performance in:

In 2011, we conducted our first STARS assessment (covering the previous academic year, 2010) with tremendous help from students in the Sustainability Office and in a STARS class. Details of that report – which earned the College a Silver rating – can be read online here.
